The MP4-27 was McLaren’s car for the 2012 Formula One World Championship, powered by the Mercedes FO 108Z (2.4-litre V8) engine on Pirelli tyres.
It was driven by Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button. McLaren started 20 of the season’s 20 races, with seven wins, 13 podium finishes and eight pole positions.
McLaren finished 3rd in the Constructors’ Championship with 378 points, and Lewis Hamilton was its highest-placed driver, 4th in the Drivers’ Championship.
